WHY DO

EVENTS

MATTER?

Events play a special part in the lives of millions around the globe; from the small town street parade to the world's major sports arena. Venues and events have the power to bring people together, create shared experiences, provide entertainment and celebration, raise much-needed funds for good causes, and even generate cultural change.

Rights holders, venues, operators and event professionals all play a vital role in creating the events we enjoy and love.

They also have a significant responsibility towards the health and wellbeing of those attending, or working at, events, as well as to the wider community.

SAFE

RESPONSIBLE

ASSURED

The Safe Event Scheme provides a standardised process for ensuring events are planned, delivered and managed safely and responsibly.

Events displaying the Safe Event Scheme logo have been verified to ensure they:

1. Do not compromise public health

2. Follow current guidance on COVID19

3. Do not place an undue burden on civil resources (such as health care, police etc.)

4. Have the right infrastructure and management in place to keep everyone safe.

The scheme is there so that everyone can feel confident and assured about attending the events they enjoy and love. By looking for the Safe Event Scheme logo, you are choosing an event that is committed to the health and wellbeing of spectators, visitors, event staff, performers, athletes and the wider community.

ASSURANCE

FOR EVERY

EVENT

The scheme offers event owners, operators, venues, rights holders and event planning professionals a full range of support and assistance to ensure their event meets the Safe Event Scheme requirements.

No two events or venues are the same. From global sporting arenas and music festival sites to packed out stadiums and pop up events, the scheme recognises there isn't a 'one size fits all' solution.

That is why the scheme covers the three key stages of every event:

Planning -  Provision - Performance

This stage-by-stage approach enables stakeholders to have the right solution for their event.
